Elen Banda

My name is Elen Banda. I am 38 years old and got married in 2003. I am divorced and have three children, two girls and one boy. I am a single mother living in the Embangweni area. My family relied on the exchange of vegetables for maize and flour to sustain ourselves every day. This exchange was crucial as it was the only way we could afford food, given our financial struggles.

In 2021, when Wells for Zoë began providing services in our area, I made the decision to join the organization and work with them. This was a means for me to earn money to support my family and purchase essential school materials such as notebooks, pencils, and ball-point pens for my children.

I am very thankful to Wells for Zoë for working hand in hand with the community in Embangweni. I sincerely wish for the organization to continue its presence here so that our lives can maintain the same level of improvement.
