Happy faces were everywhere when we entered Ishmael village to install a pump for the first time. The pump installation was completed successfully without any problems, and many people were present to witness the work. Water has been a major problem in the village, with people having to walk long distances to collect water from open wells. They are very thankful to Wells for Zoë for helping to provide them with good and safe water.

People in the village are very poor and depend mainly on farming for their livelihoods. Soya beans and maize are the main crops grown in the village.
