The installation work went well, and many people gathered in large numbers to show their happiness and see how the pump works. People in Mawelera village had been drawing water from a stream with poor-quality water, but the whole village is now happy to have good and clean water in their village.

Most people in the village are poor and struggle to earn enough money for their daily needs. They depend mainly on farming for their livelihoods. The roads in the area are in poor condition, causing difficulties with transportation and movement. Schools are available in the area.
