We were warmly welcomed in the village of Tambala, and the pump was successfully installed without any problems. The villagers showed their happiness by dancing and singing songs, as they had previously been drinking water from unprotected open wells.

Many villagers are poor and depend on farming different types of crops such as maize, groundnuts and soya beans.
