After relying on unprotected ponds for many years and losing lives to waterborne diseases, the villagers are grateful to Wells for Zoë for providing them with safe and clean water. It was revealed that for the past 13 years people had been drinking dirty water, which put their health at great risk.
The villagers are hardworking, growing maize, soya beans and beans, but they often face challenges as vendors purchase their produce at low prices, leaving them with little benefit. They hope for more support from organisations and people of goodwill to help uplift their lives.
