It was a joyful day in the village of Chifyolo in the area of Mtuzuzu as we installed a pump there for the first time. The villagers had long admired the idea of having a pump, and in the past, lives had been lost due to waterborne diseases. They expressed their gratitude to Wells for Zoë for providing them with safe and clean water.

The people of Chifyolo are hardworking and eager to welcome more organisations and people of goodwill to support development in their area so their lives can be uplifted. However, they still face challenges as markets, schools, and hospitals are far from the village, leading many children to drop out of school before reaching Standard 8.
