The installation process was successfully completed in Nkhomamphepo village, where villagers had been drinking unsafe water from streams for the past 12 years. They are now happy to have a pump for the first time and have expressed their gratitude to Wells for Zoë for saving their lives, as waterborne diseases had affected many people in the past.
The community depends on farming as their only source of food and income, and many villagers remain uneducated.
