Water has long been a major challenge in the village of Filipu, with villagers unsure of where to turn for assistance. Many thanks go to Wells for Zoë, as after being approached, the organisation responded quickly and provided clean water to the village free of charge. The entire community is grateful for this life-saving support, as waterborne diseases had affected many people in the past.

Farming is the main source of both food and income in the village, but despite the presence of schools, many children do not attend; instead, they spend their days helping their parents in the fields. As a result, a large number of villagers remain uneducated.
