Many people were overjoyed to witness the installation of a pump in Milingo village for the first time – it was a truly wonderful day. Since 1995, villagers had been drawing water from open wells, with no organisation showing interest in providing safe water until now. They are deeply grateful to Wells for Zoë for being the first non-governmental organisation to bring them clean and safe water.

The community engages in both farming and small-scale business, growing crops like maize and beans. However, they often struggle to benefit from their produce, as vendors come to buy at very low prices, leaving the villagers with little return.
