We were warmly welcomed by the joyful people of Makhosana village, where the installation of the pump was successfully completed in the presence of many excited villagers. They expressed their gratitude by singing and dancing, thankful to Wells for Zoë for providing them with safe and clean water. For years, they had been drawing water from unsafe sources and seeking help from various organisations without success. Now, they are deeply grateful to Wells for Zoë for being the first to respond to their need for clean water.
The villagers are primarily farmers, growing crops such as maize and groundnuts for food and livelihood.
