The pump was successfully installed in Mangaliso village without any difficulties, and several villagers were present to witness the process. The people sang various songs of praise to Wells for Zoë for providing them with access to clean water. Previously, women had to walk long distances to fetch water from open wells, and they are now delighted to have a pump within their village.

The villagers are primarily subsistence farmers, growing maize and groundnuts, but they face challenges due to a lack of fertiliser for their fields.
