The people in the village were thrilled to have a pump installed for the first time. Men and women used to walk long distances to fetch clean water. According to one villager, there were times when people could go for three days and nights without taking a bath due to the lack of water.

Farming is the only source of income in the village, but due to the high cost of farm inputs, the villagers produce very little, leading to widespread poverty in the community.
