We were warmly welcomed with happy faces in this village, where the pump installation was successfully completed, leaving the well and its surroundings in excellent condition. The villagers expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Wells for Zoë for providing clean and safe water, as they previously relied on open wells and streams that caused outbreaks of waterborne diseases like cholera.
Life in the village is challenging, with limited income opportunities; most residents depend on farming but harvest very little due to a lack of manure or fertilisers to improve their fields.
