It was a very joyful day for the village as we installed the pump for the first time, after 35 years of waiting. The villagers have endured the hardships of unsafe water, leading to the loss of many lives due to waterborne diseases. They are deeply grateful to Wells for Zoë for providing them with clean and safe water, free of charge.
The people in the village are hardworking and eager for more organisations and individuals to collaborate with them in order to improve their lives. Despite their resilience, they face challenges such as poor road infrastructure, which makes movement difficult. Although there are schools, many children drop out due to the inability to afford school fees.
