My name is Clement Tchuma, I was one of the workers at Kasera Indigenous tree planting project. The project has helped me a lot because I have managed to build a house. Here in Malawi it is very difficult to build a house but because I was receiving something I have made it.

My family has enough food and hunger is now a story. I am happy because I can see that in my community many boys and girls are independent and they can now buy their necessities without depending on someone’s pocket.

The community has also benefited because the project has brought back the species that used to be in the area with essential benefits to wildlife, Herbalists, Nitrogen fixation to the soil and storage of water by the roots.
