Hello, my name is Alexis Ahern. I am from Co. Cork, Ireland and I’m 21 years old. I am delighted to be joining the Wells for Zoë team as an intern from March to July 2020.

I am currently in my third year of studying International Development in UCC. Through this, I am given the opportunity to do a 4-month work placement in a developing country. This is when I came across Wells for Zoë and all of the incredible work they are doing in Malawi.

In researching the organisation I found that we share a keen interest in ensuring basic human rights, focusing on sustainable development and creating effective climate solutions. I am delighted to have been given the opportunity to work alongside the WfZ Team and cannot wait to learn, explore and enjoy all that Malawi has to offer.
