Help Billy Donovan with 4 pump installations
Hello, my name is Billy Donovan. I am a 22-year-old student from Tralee, Co. Kerry and am delighted to be joining the Wells for Zoë team as an intern from March to July 2020.
I am currently a third-year student of International Development and Food Policy in UCC. This course has, in conjunction with the Wells for Zoë team, given me an opportunity to undertake a 4-month work placement in the developing nation of Malawi.
I found common ground with their practical climate change solutions, effective and direct methods of women empowerment and sustainable local development initiatives such as their forestry plantations and pump installation projects. I cannot wait to engage in all aspects of their organisation and am particularly excited to be involved with their drone mapping of forestry plantations and increasing the number of wells present in rural communities.
During my time in Malawi I hope to raise enough money to support the installation of 4 wells.
