Planting a million trees
20th June 2018
They call it Mphompha Forest tree planting Programme under Wells for Zoë.
On the right distributing seeds and potting tubes in a unique man Golden Mlowoka Chirwa, who is the father of Adamson, apple tree expert and leader on our farms in Lusangazi.
This is an enormous undertaking but he had the whole community involved with training and now sowing out seeds and soon potting.
We thought 400,000 would be a huge number but now with more and more communities coming on board, today’s target figure is now one million or 1,000,000.
For me it is wonderful to see the number of women involved alongside the men.
